Wrenman Announces New Development Street Name

Wrenman Homes’ latest development Forge Weir View will consist of fifty exclusive 3, 4 and 5 bedroom family homes, alongside ten affordable properties in Halton village. Earlier this month, Wrenman Homes launched a ‘name the street’ competition through their social media channels.

Wrenman’s Warren Cadman said: ‘After launching our street name competition, all suggestions were submitted to Lancaster City Council. We are delighted to confirm that FOREST HEIGHTS will be the home of the Forge Weir View residents. Sadly, this name wasn’t picked from submissions, but as a commitment to the local community, we have donated £250 to St Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School and a further £250 to St Wilfrid’s Church to assist in the roof fund.’

Melissa Bowring from St. Wilfrid’s Church said: ‘We at St Wilfrid’s Church Roof Appeal Committee would very much like to thank Wrenman Homes for their generous donation of £250. We cannot emphasise enough how vital it is the roof repaired in order to maintain our historic and beautiful building. The walls on the north side of the church and the vestry are now extremely damp and it is a race against time. The roof repair is likely to cost upwards of £70,000 and we have raised £18,000 so far. Once again a big thank you to Wrenman Homes for supporting our appeal.’

Claire Weymouth of St Wilfrid’s CE Primary School said ‘It was a lovely surprise to receive this donation from Mr and Mrs Cadman and we are most grateful to them for the kind gift to St Wilfrid's School.’

Forge Weir View is the first project undertaken by Lancaster-based Wrenman Homes, a local developer with over 20 years of build experience with commercial property firm VMC Developments.

The development has placed an emphasis on utilising the local supply chain, with designs by JMP Architects, SieMatic kitchens delivered by Mark Leigh’s and Showhouse interior design by MJ Bird & Son.

Wrenman’s Vanessa Cadman said: ‘Both Warren and I have carefully considered each aspect of the Wrenman property development, ensuring that our houses are the perfect blend of modern design, fused with traditional, locally sourced materials. We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of our preferred, local financial advisors Burton & Fisher, alongside relationships with local architects and interior designers as well as Siematic kitchens and high quality, hand chosen fixtures and fittings. We’re confident our properties will offer Lancaster something completely unique in comparison to the typical new build developments we’re all used to seeing. We’re exploring innovative and exciting ways to involve the local community in the development and we hope that our approach brings something new and exclusive to the area.’

The development’s marketing suite will open Autumn 2018, with a four-bedroom show home following in Spring 2019.
